Hazelnut Estate is located just south of the Mosgiel boundary on the fertile soils of the Taieri Plains.  The Southby family moved onto the property in March 2020.

The 5.8 hectare orchard has approximately 5000 trees, with the majority being the Whitehart variety, a sweet tasting nut which excels in the fertile soils of the Taieri.

 

Proud to be spray free, we are working hard to ensure the hazelnut trees are properly nurtured and maintained, all with the mission of growing great  hazelnuts.

 

Having control over each step of the process from the tree to table is important and allows us to bring you top quality, great tasting nuts each week.
